Rap VS Techno

Rap is a style of popular music with a pronounced beat. Techno is a style of popular music using electric equipment and synthesized repetitive sounds. Which is better? This essay is about the differences between the two and what type of music people listen to. Also how each one is acknowledged in society and how old people react to music these days compared to as in their youth days. Rap is a bunch of words put together to give meaning about an event, feeling or emotion. Good rappers like "Eminem" and "Nelly" use words that rhyme and give a significant meaning. These rappers reprimand words suddenly and sharply, which makes it so entertaining to many teenagers. Techno however does not necessary have words and it generally pronounces an electric beat. Many DJs use techno rather than rap for dancing since it has a beat and electric echoing for people to dance to. So which is most popular?Generally it depends on the individual's characteristics

As long as the words have a significant meaning. No one really has any problems with techno music since it doesn't have any swearing in it and it doesn't offend anyone. These teenagers may take drugs so they can party all night. Moby's music is clamorous and fast moving. My parents prefer me listening to techno music rather than rap because they are aware of they controversy involved in rap music. How do old people react to these types of music compared to the ones in their youth years? Well most old people have a hearing problem so they would prefer soft music like classical. Techno is popular throughout the world and a lot of teenagers like techno because they can dance to it. He advises to a little boy, in his video clip that his new album is only for adults. If they don't have a hearing problem then jazz is more likely to be their favourite since jazz was very popular in their days. Therefore the public would not have anything against him. Techno can sometimes be reparative therefore I lose interest. A little bit of vulgar words I don't mind. I don't like rappers who swear too much because I feel that it makes me a bad person. " Over big controversy the rapper was permitted to tour Australia and only people over the age of 18 were allowed to see him sing. However it is not generally the music, which provokes them to do such things, it's themselves who only want to be that way

Canada

Canada is a huge country full of joy. It always has festivals and fun things to do. Canada is right above the U.S. and it is almost the size of it. Canada has 10 provinces and three territories. Canada has great, big exciting places to visit everywhere! If you desire warmer weather you should come to the South. The more North you get, the colder it is. Once you come to Canada you'll never want to leave because it's like a paradise
Canadians enjoy playing and watching it. In the summer when there is no ice they just play street hockey. Children are encouraged to

India

Women are pieces of property and should be used as pleased. After watching the three films in class, this seems to be the underlying point and main concept for the two Indian films and has representation somewhat in the western movie, but a more in depth analysis of the pictures show many more ideas and concepts, and in fact woman as property may not be the main idea at all. A more in depth analysis would seem to place gender roles and power, the most important issue in the films, and because of this, social control, and love and marriage are very important co ideas, that must be analyzed and talked about as well. Gender roles and power would seem to go hand in hand, but in the films there was a conflict between the two. The male as it was portrayed seemed to be the more powerful of the two genders. Woman in all movies were treated as property, there was instances of rape, violence, and disrespect in all three movies. In the Bandit Queen, Phoolan Devi was raped, beaten, and disowned by her own father. Kama Sutra had men controlling the two lives of Maya and Tara, and even in The Deceivers, Pierce Bronsen physically harms a woman and almost kills her

For example in Bandit Queen even though Phoolan Devi went though several trials and tribulations, from being raped and beaten, to sever verbal abuse from her father. Phoolan Devi was born into a low caste. When Maya a beautiful young woman refuses to marry a prince she is banished and learns the way of the Kama Sutra. She becomes a notorious gang leader that extracts revenge from every man that did her wrong. In fact the reason Pierce Bronson's character almost kills a woman and almost loses his mind, is because of the goddess Kali. In doing so she destroys the lives of two men, the one she loves and the one that loves her by using what men want, as a tool of power. In Kama Sutra again it seems the men control woman. She is mentioned time and time again, and is the focus of the whole movie. You can't say after three movies that the Indian culture believes in these ideas or that these ideas are predominant in the Indian culture, since all three movies seem to deal with situations that could arise in any culture . t further examination of the movies show that woman are the ones who actually poses the power. Wives seem to be seen as more of a nuisance, then a loving companion, cheating on your wife is not only condoned but also expected in the upper class. The Deceivers is more difficult to understand, again the western movie draws away from the other films in that a woman from a lower caste is trying to disvalue gender roles and acquire power, but in The Deceivers a man from a higher caste is trying to gain power from a woman goddess in a lower caste. So in fact even though it seems that men were the more the powerful gender at first, further analysis of each movie shows that woman can overcome gender roles to become the more powerful gender. The bandit queen as we all know is raped by her husband at in early age, but dose find true love, but never gets to marry her true love. Each movie had pretty much the same ideas and theories, but the western movie conveyed the ideas differently

Alexander Fleming

What would the world be like if the uses of penicillin had not been discovered? There is no way of knowing exactly, but one thing is very certain. If the uses of penicillin had not been discovered, many of us would not be around today. Penicillin was the miracle mold that could be used to fight off infections. The use of penicillin could stop any infection without harming the person's body. So, who is the person that we owe for discovering penicillin? That person is Sir Alexander Fleming. Alexander Fleming was born into an underprivileged farming family in Ayrshire, Scotland on August 6, 1881. Alexander Fleming had eight siblings . Alexander Fleming's mother and father had adopted many other children and he lived with these adopted children, his siblings, and his parents on their farm in Scotland. One day, Alexander Fleming's father, Robert Fleming, was out working in his fields when he heard the screams of a child coming from the nearby marshlands. Robert Fleming ran to the marshlands, and he saw a young boy drowning in the swampy waters. Robert Fleming saved the boy's life, and brought the young boy home to his family

It was Florey and Chain who first isolated and concentrated penicillin-using technology available at Oxford. " Fleming noted the mold as being a part of the genus Penicillium, and he named the antibiotic substance it created penicillin . The discovery of lysozymes, however, was a crucial step towards the discovery of penicillin. While playing water polo, he met people who would later play an important part of his life. Sir Alexander Fleming concluded that the mold contained or produced something that was deadly to the staphylococcus bacteria in the culture dish. The next day, he found a clear spot where the tear had been. Through the shipping company he met people who helped him join the London - Scottish Volunteers . Mary's, which was in cooperation with the University of London, he was given information about the school they had there and the opportunities for a person of his education . In the summer of 1928, Sir Alexander Fleming began researching a strain of influenza. The Phenol was lethal to the body's natural defenses

William Shakespeare

William Shakespeare was born in an English market town called Stratford-upon-Avon in the year 1564. His baptism was recorded on April 26, 1564, and in view of the fact that babies are usually baptized on the third day, it is commonly thought that he was born on April 23, though there is no actual account of this. Being the third child after two daughters that had died, John and Mary Shakespeare were worried that William would not live either. John was a rather flourishing glovemaker and trader of wool, hides, and grain

He wrote Romeo & Juliet between 1594 and 1595 and it was published in 1597. He became mayor when William was four years old. uses in Stratford and held several offices in town. From the summer of 1592 to the summer of 1594, the plague kept the London theaters closed most of the time, so Shakespeare turned to writing poetry. William left school when he was fourteen or fifteen when his father began to have financial struggles, which perpetuated the rest of his life. In those days, the school days were long and the boys primarily studied Latin and Greek literature. When the theaters finally reopened, Shakespeare turned back to writing plays. She gave birth to a daughter, Susanna, six months later. Shakespeare's mother, Mary Arden, the daughter of a landowner, had five more children after William. By 1592, Shakespeare was fairly well known and recognized as an actor and a playwright. On November 27 a license was issued for the marriage of William Shakespeare to Anne Hathaway. What William did in the years following his departure of school are unknown. During the late 1580s and early 1590s, Shakespeare traveled back and forth between London and Stratford-on-Avon. Shakespeare did not engage in any further formal education: he never attended a university and was not considered to be a truly educated man

Andrea

Man: so have you seen Andrea lately?

Woman: Yeah I see her pretty often. We work together at Cafe Latte.

Man: how's she doing? I've been meaning to call her.

Woman: to be honest I've always thought she was a little difficult but these days I find her impossible

Man: what do you mean?

Woman: you know how she is. She has such strong ideas about everything and if you don't agree with her she lets you know what she thinks of you.

Man: yes that's true but that's why we love her right?

Woman: I guess so. But she's changed a lot since she started college. She talks about herself all the time and she always manages to mention how good she is at everything she does.

Man: maybe I won't call her after all.

James

Woman: are you going to James's party on Saturday?

Man: of course. James always gives the best parties and there are always lots of interesting new people to meet.

Woman: it's true. I don't know where he manages to find theme all.

Man: you know what he's like. He makes friends very easily. He really likes talking to people and he loves inviting people over.

Woman: he invited me for dinner last Saturday what a feast.

Man: yeah he's a great cook too.

Woman: after dinner I offered to help clean up and he told me not to worry about it. He said he'd take care of it later. He was like it's nothing no big deal.

Man: yep that sounds like James

Mr. Johnson

Woman1: have you met the new apartment manager?

Woman2: Mr. Johnson? Yeah I met him last week he's a little strange.

Woman1: yeah he is. I'm not sure I like him. He's hard to predict. Sometimes he's pretty cheerful and talkative and the next day he doesn't even say hello. I think he must have personal problems or something.

Woman2: I think you're right and have you noticed that half the time when he says he's going to do something he never actually does it? He told me three times he'd come to fix the light in my kitchen and he still hasn't done it.

Chris: So, what's the verdict? What did you think of Bob?

Kim: I was worried at first especially when I saw that he rode a huge motorcycle.  I thought he might turn out to be one of those guys who is into heavy metal music and stuff like that. You know what I mean?

Chris: But he's just a regular kind of guy, right?

Kim: Yeah, we got along really well

Chris: I knew you'd like him.

Kim: Yeah, I do. And he's really funny. He had me laughing hysterically at the coffee shop, remember? I think the people sitting next to us thought we were crazy.

Chris: So are you two going to get together again?

Kim: Definitely. In fact we're going to the party together.

Chris: That's great

Professor Michael Kearney

Early life

He was homeschooled by his parents, especially his mother, and accelerated in his academic career. He was diagnosed with ADD and his parents declined to use the offered prescription of Ritalin. His younger sister, Maeghan, is also a child prodigy.[1]

He spoke his first words at four months. At the age of six months, he said to his pediatrician "I have a left ear infection" [2] and learned to read at the age of ten months. [3] When Michael was four, he was given multiple-choice diagnostic tests for the Johns Hopkins precocious math program. Without having studied for the exam, Michael achieved a perfect score.

He finished high school at age 6, enrolled at Santa Rosa Junior College at the age of six, graduating at 10 with an Associate of Science in Geology. He is listed in the Guinness Book as the world's youngest university graduate at the age of 10, receiving a bachelor's degree in anthropology from the University of South Alabama

Research and teaching

He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a master's degree in biochemistry at the age of 14. His 118-page thesis is entitled "Kinetic Isotope Effects of Thymidine Phosphorylase." His research focused on an enzyme that could potentially slow or stop the growth of cancer cells without harming health. For a while, he was the world's youngest postgraduate and the holder of several Guinness world records, but the master's degree record was broken by Tathagat Avatar Tulsi.

He taught at Vanderbilt University also in Tennessee at 16. He received a second Master's degree in Computer Science from Vanderbilt when he was 17

Contestant

In October 2006, he became a finalist on the Mark Burnett/AOL quiz/puzzle game Gold Rush, winning $100,000. In November 2006, in front of a national audience on Entertainment Tonight, he went on to win the grand prize of an additional $1,000,000. Kearney was also a contestant on Who Wants to be a Millionaire? which aired on 25 and 28 April, 2008. He left with $25,000

statue of liberity

The Statue of Liberty (French: Statue de la Liberté), or, more formally, Liberty Enlightening the World (French: La liberté éclairant le monde), was presented to the United States by the people of France in 1886. Standing on Liberty Island in New York Harbor, it welcomes visitors, immigrants, and returning Americans traveling by ship.[5] The copper-clad statue, dedicated on October 28, 1886, commemorates the centennial of the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence and was given to the United States to represent the friendship established during the American Revolution.[6] Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi sculpted the statue[7] and obtained a U.S. patent for its structure.[8] Maurice Koechlin - chief engineer of Gustave Eiffel's engineering company and designer of the Eiffel Tower - engineered the internal structure. Eugène Viollet-le-Duc was responsible for the choice of copper in the statue's construction and adoption of the repoussé technique, where a malleable metal is hammered on the reverse side.[9]

The statue is of a robed woman (i.e. goddess) holding a torch, and is made of a sheeting of pure copper, hung on a framework of steel (originally puddled iron) with the exception of the flame of the torch, which is coated in gold leaf (originally made of copper and

Machu Picchu

Machu Picchu (Quechua: Machu Pikchu, "Old Peak"; pronounced ['mɑ.tʃu 'pik.tʃu]) is a pre-Columbian Inca site located 2,430 metres (8,000 ft) above sea level[1]. It is situated on a mountain ridge above the Urubamba Valley in Peru, which is 80 kilometres (50 mi) northwest of Cuzco and through which the Urubamba River flows. The river is a partially navigable headwater of the Amazon River. Often referred to as "The Lost City of the Incas", Machu Picchu is one of the most familiar symbols of the Inca Empire

The Incas started building it around 1460 AD but was abandoned as an official site for the Inca rulers a hundred years later, at the time of the Spanish conquest of the Inca Empire. Although known locally, it was said[who?] to have been forgotten for centuries when the site was brought to worldwide attention in 1911 by Hiram Bingham, an American historian. Since then, Machu Picchu has
